TNR only Humane Solution

The only humane and proven solution to a community cat overpopulation is TNR: trap the cat, get them neutered, return to where trapped and care for them. TNR has nothing to do with how the caregiver feels. It is not done for anyone except the cat. We want the community cat population to some day no longer exist! It is the only solution that will absolutely reduce the population. Lots of people feel that just killing them is better, well let me ask you if you were on the street would you want someone to gather you up and kill you at the hospital or would you rather be left alone if that's where you want to be. The outdoors is a community cats home and they live long and healthy lives. Trapping and killing them just opens up their territory to other cats who will come in and start the breeding all over again. Humane euthanasia is for animals that are irreparable suffering with no chance of surviving. Killing because it's inconvenient for humans is inhumane and mistakenly called euthanasia.
