Written By An Attorney for An Auto Insurance Company...No Surprise

Reader: Please note that the author of the above article you just read, works for an auto insurance company. He has a substantially compromised viewpoint. Anyone who has ever been injured in an automobile accident knows that 'effective' and comprehensive coverage from PIP carriers does NOT apply. The PIP fee schedule that was upheld is only going to make doctors much more reluctant to treat people injured in car accidents. The compensation for the doctors is extremely low, AND getting approval for procedures is a long belabored process. The minute anyone is involved in a car accident, and reports it to their insurance company, the case is assigned to a PIP adjuster whose primary concern is ending treatment as quickly as possible. This means when you have had two months of physical therapy, they are having you examined by their OWN doctor, who will tell them that you are fine, and they cut off your benefits. Insurance companies do NOT open their purse strings generously when their insureds are injured, and this article is an attempt to make NJ residents feel better about paying premiums. All the legislature did was just make it more difficult for people to get treatment.
