Aimee is a New Jersey native, having grown up in Nutley (aka Martha Stewart's hometown). She has a B.A. in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College with a minor in Creative Writing.
She’s been practicing journalistic writing for over eight years. Her commentary has appeared in The New York Times as well as various New Jersey newspapers. She was also the Editorials Editor of Nutley High School’s Maroon and Gray and a regular contributor to Marymount's The Monitor.
After living in NYC for four years during college she returned home to New Jersey. This has given her a new appreciation of the state and says these days life's a bit like Springsteen's "My Hometown."
Now her goal is to catch up on visiting as many New Jersey hot spots as possible. (Her new favorite hobby is exploring New Jersey vineyards.)
In addition to her work for NewJerseyNewsroom.com, she is a Correspondent at North Jersey Media Group, where she writes two business columns, "Tending to Business" and "Chamber Spotlight." She also does freelance reporting for Patch.com. Aimee is currently pursuing opportunities in the fields of journalism or communications in the metro area.
