Lee Aronsohn, 'Two And A Half Men' co-creator, makes bad women joke

Lee Aronsohn, the co-creator of the CBS hit series Two and a Half Men, recently did his best Charlie Sheen from the show impression when he snarkily derided female-centered comedies.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aronsohn took aim at such shows as Whitney and 2 Broke Girls, which also air on Mondays on CBS.

“Enough, ladies. I get it. You have periods,” he said. While Aronsohn gave kudos to show creators such as Tina Fey, Chelsea Handler and Whitney Cummings for addressing previously off-limits subjects on TV, he sniped: “But we’re approaching peak vagina on television, the point of labia saturation.” (Source: Hollywood Reporter)

Perhaps Aronsohn has been slinging the grams and "winning" with his former star Sheen and forgot about that little war on women going on lately, so naturally anything closely resembling sexism will produce a media backlash. As a comedian, this writer firmly believes that nobody should ever have to apologize for a joke, unless it really sucks and the teller in question isn’t actually a comedian (I’m looking at you Rush).

Aronsohn did in fact apologize, but only after the obligatory uproar on Twitter. For example, Martha Plimpton, star of Fox’s Raising Hope, tweeted:

”Um, Lee, women are 51 percent of the population & a coveted demographic for advertisers. What are you thinking?” (Source: Hollywood Reporter)

“Yes, yes – it was a stupid joke. I’m sorry,” he wrote. (Source: Hollywood Reporter)

Now maybe we can all agree that sitcoms are all around terrible, no matter the gender theme. Until then, does anyone know when Labia Saturation will air.

Children can be conned out of inheritance after multiple marriages

BY CAROL ABAYA NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM THE SANDWICH GENERATION Multiple marriages and blended families can mean children get cheated out of money and assets their parent(s) earned and had before the second or third marriage. At the 2012 senior citizens’ law day conference, Lawrence A. Friedman, Bridgewater elder law attorney, said elders need to protect their children of prior marriages from being disinherited. "Even if your spouse’s current will provides for your children, your spouse may change it after you pass away,” he said. In addition to protecting one's child, an appropriate will can minimize N.J. estate taxes, which kick in if assets are over $675,000. At the conference, Cathyanne Pisciotta from North Brunswick discussed guardianship which could be necessary if various legal documents are not signed. Pisciotta said that if a person does not have a durable power of attorney (for financial affairs) and a living will (for medical decisions), anyone else can seek guardianship of that person. An expensive court proceeding is mandatory. And she said, “If one person seeks guardianship, someone else can challenge the appointment. Another relative may seek to be appointed guardian because he/she wants the money and power.”
