The Powerball jackpot may be on the march toward six figures again, after no tickets won the jackpot in Wednesday night’s $76 million drawing.

The Powerball jackpot will be an estimated $91 million for Saturday’s drawing, with a cash option payout of $53.5 million. Delawareonline.com reports that four tickets matched five numbers but not the Powerball on Wednesday. None of them came from New Jersey.

New Jersey’s lottery players will once again be able to follow the drawings on public television after Labor Day. According to Lottery Post, the parent company of NJTV, Public Media, has announced that starting September 6, daily winning numbers results will return to the air at 1:58 p.m. and 8:58 p.m. seven days a week.

New Jersey state lottery drawings had stopped being televised when Public Media took over NJN.

The fortunes of New Jersey’s Powerball players may be improving. According to lottery.com, one New Jersey player won a Powerball third prize of $10,000 for the drawing of Saturday, August 27.

Am I the only one who notices that these articles about the lottery are posted THE DAY AFTER the drawing? If you're trying to remind people to play because it's up high, why not post it, I don't know, THE DAY BEFORE THE DRAWING???
