It’s been an explosive week for Charlie Sheen. The troubled star was fired from Two and a Half Men, the role that netted him a $1.8 million paycheck, the highest on television -- after his tirade against the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre.
He continued on a media blitz that left tongues wagging, police took his twin boys away, he offended the warlock community by declaring he was one of them, and his latest proposal hit paydirt: “I’m looking to hire a winning intern with #TigerBlood,” Sheen tweeted Monday afternoon.
According to the LA Times, the tweet was an advertisement -- a message paid for by Internships.com and set up by Ad.ly, a Beverly Hills firm that writes tweets or Facebook status updates for celebrities.
Ad.ly spokeswoman Krista Thomas said the actor didn’t write the tweet himself but approved it before it was posted. She wouldn’t disclose what compensation he received from Internships.com. It’s Sheen’s first paid endorsement since he signed with Ad.ly on March 3.

You will learn how to promote and develop the social media network of Hollywood’s most trending celebrity.
“We want you on #TeamSheen as our social media #TigerBloodIntern!”
As tempting as it seems, PR pro Len Gutman, a social media consultant who has taught at Arizona State University, said he'd tell his former students to run, AOL News reports.
"It's a bad idea to trust the social media to an intern," Gutman said. "Especially in this case. It's a social media firestorm."
Gutman admits that the person chosen will get a lot of experience quickly, but says the downside is, "you're working for a drug addict and a psychopath.
“Take this job and you're selling your soul," he said. "I can't imagine how much professional experience you'll get hanging out at clubs."
Social media consultant Peter Shankman suspects the whole Sheen meltdown is an elaborate publicity stunt and believes the internship is part of that plan.
"People are following Sheen on Twitter to see what he will say," Shankman said. "They don't want to hear an intern.” The 8-week, full-time, paid internship starts this summer.
You have until Friday night to submit or if you miss the deadline, there’s one more chance on March 14. How many of you actually want in?
