'Titanic in 3D' makes Kate Winslet sea sick: 'My Heart Will Go On' is nauseating

Some celebrity gossip pages have hinted that iconic movie and song stars really despise their “signature” tune. For instance, Gene Kelly was once rumored to have said he was sick and tired of “Singin’ in the Rain,” because despite all his other outstanding work, it’s that musical number that’s associated with the handsome song-and-dance man.

Kate Winslet, however, has made no secret of her intense dislike for the soundtrack of “Titanic,” the movie that made her a star, according to the Huffington Post.

Winslet said in an MTV interview that the Celine Dion ballad “My Heart Will Go On” makes her feel like “throwing up.” And that nausea, much to her exasperation, is about to return with the 3D re-release of “Titanic” on April 6.

The film’s re-release is coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the liner’s sinking in 1912.

Said the star: "Every time I go into a bar in a hotel where there's a live pianist, or into a restaurant where they're changing their music according to who walks into the door, it's thrilling for people to 'surprise me' with that song,” adding that she feels like throwing up but remains “straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll.”

Winslet apparently, is in a minority of folks who dislike the tune. "My Heart Will Go On" is one of the best-selling singles of all time, earning the Academy Award for Best Song in 1998 and selling more than 15 million copies worldwide. In 1998, it was also the best-selling single in the world, the report stated.
