“The meat dress. You saw the prime rib of America speech so you knew it was about equality, but … everyone just saw pork. It was prime rib and plain steak.”

That was Lady Gaga, in an interview with Financial Times. Gaga is not like every other artist. During a whirlwind week of performances promoting her new album, she has occasionally taken her performance to a higher level.

At the “American Idol” finale this past week, Lady Gaga set up on a make shift mountaintop high above the "Idol" stage. Dressed in a long cape and a bedazzled headpiece with hanging chains, Gaga wasn’t able to do a lot of movement. A trio of dancers performed on stage while Lady Gaga sang above them.

Gaga removed her cape and headpiece after the song's first verse, revealing a Xena Warrior Princess-type outfit, accented by a flowing blond wig and a large cross under blue lights.

MTV reports that Gaga was joined in her high position by a male dancer. They held hands while Gaga sang, embraced, took a breath and then dove off the edge of the stage, landing out of sight. Steam shot up into the air and another Lady Gaga TV spectacle was finished.

Billboard reports "Born This Way," scanned 330,000 units at Amazon on Monday, its first day of release. The album was offered for 99 cents two days this week, enough to crash Amazon’s servers. It was projected to sell a million units its first week.
