Singer Stevie Nicks on 'Up All Night' after 'American Idol' mentor spot

If you find yourself singing Fleetwood Mac lately, there is a good reason. Stevie Nicks has been “Everywhere.” (Pun intended even though she didn’t sing that one.)

Last year, she appeared as a guest judge on “The Voice” and “Glee” when the Gleeks did a rendition of the Fleetwood Mac album “Rumours.”

On Wednesday, March 28, Nicks was a guest coach for “American Idol” singers as a trio of performed a Fleetwood Mac medley. And now tonight, Nicks returns to primetime for a guest spot on “Up All Night.” This will mark the legendary singer’s first TV acting gig.

According to ABC News Radio, it all started in September, when on the very first show of “Up All Night,” Maya Rudolph’s character, Eva, a talk show host, tells Christina Applegate, her producer, that she is going to Stevie Nick’s house for a party. She wants to convince the singing legend to appear on her show.

Meanwhile, in real life, Stevie Nicks was watching the episode and decided to reach out to the show’s producers. She said that she has never contacted a TV show in the past.

"But I was just so touched by that show that I thought, 'You know, I should really call and tell them that I would love to come and be on the [talk] show, on the show, and see what they say,'" said Nicks to ABC News Radio.

And of course the “Up All Night” crew delivered on a hilariously absurd role for Nicks tonight. She will be a baby whisperer, and according to Entertainment Weekly, will be able to silence babies and dogs with a “flick of a shawl.”

"Up All Night" airs at 9:30 p.m. on NBC.
