Bad batch of LSD in Miami leads to cannibalism

Detective Willie Moreno, spokesperson for Miami Police said the officer had no other choice but to save the life of the faceless victim. Witnesses at the scene say the man had virtually no face and was unrecognizable.

Surveillance video taken from security cameras at the nearby Miami Herald building show cameras zooming into the two men lying nude and partially obscured by the Metro Mover track.

As one man is seen lying motionless on the 8 minute video, the other can be seen flailing his legs.

Police say a new form of LSD, commonly referred to as “bath salts”, has emerged on the streets of Miami in recent months.

Emergency room Doctor Paul Adams says similar cases have showed up in the ER after the popular music festival, Ultra Fest, according to a CBS local Miami television news affiliate.

Doctors say the drug can elevate a person’s body temperature to such a high degree that logic and the ability to feel pain are lost; then delirium sets in which can often lead to monstrous acts of violence.

“We’ve had several deaths,” Dr. Adams said according to Miami television reports. “Earlier last year, we probably saw our first death from bath salts where people were running on the MacArthur Causeway, under the MacArthur Causeway being chased by the police and then all of the sudden just collapsing.”

Police have vowed to beef-up their efforts in tracking down drug dealers who sell to unsuspecting buyers and say they will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Meantime, the victim, who has not been identified, remains in critical condition at a Miami hospital.

This article is blatantly mis-reporting the substance in question. First the police chief says 'New version of LSD' called 'bath salts'.... except that 'bath salts' refers to a variety of new synthetic stimulants, most notably mephedrone.

There is only ONE drug on the planet that can rightfully be called LSD, and that is LSD. This article mus-construes the police's words even FURTHER to suggest that the substance in question IS LSD. This is a clear smear campaign against a wonderful and enlightening drug and the authors should be ashamed of themselves for their miserable lack of fact-checking whatsoever in this miserable pile of excrement. Shame!

Children can be conned out of inheritance after multiple marriages

BY CAROL ABAYA NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM THE SANDWICH GENERATION Multiple marriages and blended families can mean children get cheated out of money and assets their parent(s) earned and had before the second or third marriage. At the 2012 senior citizens’ law day conference, Lawrence A. Friedman, Bridgewater elder law attorney, said elders need to protect their children of prior marriages from being disinherited. "Even if your spouse’s current will provides for your children, your spouse may change it after you pass away,” he said. In addition to protecting one's child, an appropriate will can minimize N.J. estate taxes, which kick in if assets are over $675,000. At the conference, Cathyanne Pisciotta from North Brunswick discussed guardianship which could be necessary if various legal documents are not signed. Pisciotta said that if a person does not have a durable power of attorney (for financial affairs) and a living will (for medical decisions), anyone else can seek guardianship of that person. An expensive court proceeding is mandatory. And she said, “If one person seeks guardianship, someone else can challenge the appointment. Another relative may seek to be appointed guardian because he/she wants the money and power.”
