Most brides want their wedding to be an occasion they’ll never forget- but not like two weddings that took place in Philadelphia over this past weekend.

Attendees of two weddings at the Society Hill Sheraton got involved in a massive brawl that led to three people being arrested, and one man dying of a heart attack.

According to philly.com, police said some of the guests in one wedding reception went to the hotel bar and a fight broke out among them. Then, another wedding party that was staying at the Sheraton came to the bar and also joined the fight.

Fighting carried on from the bar to the hotel lobby and beyond.

NBC 10 Philadelphia reported that 57-year-old Vincent Sannuti, who was the uncle of one bride, suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead at Jefferson Hospital. It was his 57th birthday.

Police said two people were arrested for disorderly conduct, and 26-year-old Matthew Sofka of Westfield was arrested for assault on a police officer. Sofka was hit by a Taser.

According to an Associated Press report on USA Today, the battle was caught on video and placed on YouTube by 15-year-old Max Schultz of Camp Hill Pennsylvania, at the hotel with his parents. The noise from the fight woke Schultz up at around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

U.S. News reports that the video shows one police officer repeatedly striking at least one person with a baton. A woman's blood-curdling screams can also be heard, as well as Schultz asking, “Did they just deck the bride? They just decked the bride.”

A statement issued by the Sheraton Hotel said, "We continue to cooperate with the authorities and any questions should be directed to the local police department. Our sincerest condolences go out to the family for their loss."

Police don’t know what started the altercation, but said, not all that shockingly, that alcohol was involved.

Children can be conned out of inheritance after multiple marriages

BY CAROL ABAYA NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM THE SANDWICH GENERATION Multiple marriages and blended families can mean children get cheated out of money and assets their parent(s) earned and had before the second or third marriage. At the 2012 senior citizens’ law day conference, Lawrence A. Friedman, Bridgewater elder law attorney, said elders need to protect their children of prior marriages from being disinherited. "Even if your spouse’s current will provides for your children, your spouse may change it after you pass away,” he said. In addition to protecting one's child, an appropriate will can minimize N.J. estate taxes, which kick in if assets are over $675,000. At the conference, Cathyanne Pisciotta from North Brunswick discussed guardianship which could be necessary if various legal documents are not signed. Pisciotta said that if a person does not have a durable power of attorney (for financial affairs) and a living will (for medical decisions), anyone else can seek guardianship of that person. An expensive court proceeding is mandatory. And she said, “If one person seeks guardianship, someone else can challenge the appointment. Another relative may seek to be appointed guardian because he/she wants the money and power.”
