U.S. Marine Gary Stein, Tea Party activist, used Facebook to bash President Obama

For nine-year Marine veteran Sgt. Gary Stein it may be time to make his Facebook page private, or deactivate "The Armed Forces Tea Party."

Stein's alleged political comments have led to an investigation that could possibly result in his dismissal.

Stein candidly criticized President Obama on combat orders as well as Defense Secretary Leon Panetta about Syria, the Los Angeles Times reports.

According to USA Today, Stein is baffled by the claims.

"I'm completely shocked that this is happening," he told the Associated Press. "I've done nothing wrong. I've only stated what our oath states: That I will defend the Constitution, and that I will not follow unlawful orders. If that's a crime, what is America coming to?"

Huffington Post says Stein launched the page to exercise his freedom of speech rights, encouraging fellow service members to do the same.

But Stein was involved in a similar incident at Camp Pendleton in 2010 and voluntarily deleted his opinions about Obama’s health care plan after his superiors requested him to. Stein would eventually relaunch the page, however.

According to the Times, the allegations made against Stein go against The Uniform Code of Military Justice, which forbid uniformed personnel from sponsoring political clubs or engaging in conversation that openly criticize a political party or movement. This includes scornful words against the president or defense secretary.

The Corps said, "After reviewing the findings of the preliminary inquiry, the commander decided to address the allegations through administrative action.”

As of Wednesday, he was removed from his job at the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego and instead given a position that doesn’t involve the use of a computer. He plans to argue the charges.

Question: If this Administration gave the orders for the military to turn the weapons upon the American people (including parents, relatives, friends) because they choose to defend the Constitution, what would you do?
Search your soul deep before answering because this questions separates American military from cold blooded killers. We as Vets respect the Office of Presidency but remember they are common men just like the rest of us. Some let power go to their heads (Nixon). This Administration challenges our Constitution (which we swore to defend) monthly and chooses to disobey some of our laws (immigration). That gives us the right to question motives/leadership. If it is a mission to defend America, freedom, and Americans follow orders to a T. It is blind, no moral compass, no right from wrong military that follows blindly leaders right into dictatorships. Our military is different from dictatorial nations because we do have a moral compass, respect for ourselves as Americans. For God and Country.

You're right, MarieB. Soldiers shouldn't have free thoughts and opinions. In fact, that's why he's getting discharged. This country doesn't like people who question the decisions of the highest. They just want blind sheep as a population who'd go along with everything they're doing, whether it's morally wrong or going against the principles of the Constitution (and members of the military).

Wow....I guess a soldier is just a puppet that should blindly follow everything, no brain needed. Thank you, Gary, for actually thinking and questioning things that violate Constitutionally protected rights. No wonder this country is going to hell in a handbasket, based on comments 3 and 4. Shame, shame. Example: Go actually read and educate yourself on NDAA 2012 and you'll be praying military personnel sees the conflict between it and what the Constitution upholds.

He deserves to be relieved of his duties. He's not fitting the roll of a soldier if he can't follow orders.

U.S. Vets
Vets nationwide are unifying in support of Gary Stein. Mr Obama/Democrats are leading America down the wrong road - apologizing for America, forcing laws down our throats against the will of the people, stripping our freedom, giving our tax payers dollars to our enemies, attempting to destroy state sovereignty, manipulating to destroy our economy punishing Americans because he sees us as guilty because of his racial/communist upbringing. We will defend our Constitution. The next election we must vote for America and freedom, not party.

It isn't anti, it is The Constitution of United States of America. Barack Hussein Obama II illegally jails United States soldiers for asking questions. - American Patriot Foundation http://www.safeguardourconstitution.com/
