An Apple event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, but will the expected launch of the iPad 3 also include Apple TV?

Sources are saying the Apple TV is imminent, if not launching on Wednesday. And 9 to 5 Mac reports the Apple TV has been given the codename J33, which means a product in development is getting closer to a release date.

According to the International Business Times, rumors say that Apple plans to release a 37-inch TV, which might be touch capable.  Reports have indicated it would have Siri, a camera for hand gesture controls, and 1080p HD playback.

Apple’s event indication says, "We have something you really have to see. And touch," according to Computerworld. The event will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

As far as the iPad 3, 9 to 5 Mac reports that it is expected to come in three different versions. One is a Wi-Fi only model, and the two other units will have retina display and be cellular data enabled.

Yahoo! News reports that the iPad 3 version should have a 2048×1024 resolution, which is twice that of the iPad 2 screen, and the battery is expected to be larger. And its shape and size will be similar to the iPad 2. Stories say Apple will be debuting 4GLTE on the iPad 3, due to the larger battery.  It will launch on Verizon and AT&T.

Also, the unit will ship with iOS 5.1., the name of the processor will be A5X, and it will have an HD front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

Sources are saying that the new iPad shipments are already landing at countries around the world, so they should be available quickly, most likely within one to two weeks after the announcement.
