Enjoy the excellent weather conditions today because the weather conditions are going down hill for the rest of this weekend and even the start of next week.
High pressure will produce excellent weather conditions through this evening with clear skies and light and variable winds. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60's along the coast and lower to mid 70's elsewhere.
A cold front currently over the Mississippi Valley will approach the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas with increasing clouds tonight. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40's to mid 50's for lows as winds increase from the south at 5 to 10 mph. The cold front will weaken and stall along the New Jersey coast and over central Connecticut tomorrow with scattered showers and possibly even an isolated thunderstorm.
Meanwhile, a strong disturbance will develop over the southern Mississippi River Valley and Southeast. This strong disturbance will produce a powerful low pressure system that will bring waves of moderate to heavy rain late tomorrow night on through Monday. The periods of heavy rain will be followed by periods of drizzle and overcast conditions while winds will back from southeast to northwest at 15 to 30 mph with gusts over 40 mph. Temperatures will be below normal with raw, wet conditions. Temperatures will range from the upper 40's to lower 50's for lows and mid to upper 50's for highs.
A series of disturbances will continue to rotate through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas on Tuesday through Thursday with the threat for scattered showers each day. Temperatures will remain near to slightly below normal with lows in the upper 30's to lower 40's and highs in the lower 50's to lower 60's.
