A Totowa man's life was cut short in Paterson early Saturday morning after he was shot while sitting in the driver's seat of his Nissan Pathfinder near the intersection of Fair Auburn Streets.

Police say 30-year-old Joseph Ballard of Boyle Street died of a single gunshot wound to his face. At this time, Paterson police have no one in custody.

If anyone has information concerning the shooting, they are asked to contact the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office or the Paterson Police department.
