N.J. Prosecutor Fired By Chris Christie Administration Tells All

COMMENTARY

With each and every passing day, Governor Christie is making my parody of him as Tony Soprano seem more and more realistic. We now know that he potentially withheld much needed Sandy funds to the mayor of Hoboken over a politically-motivated development deal, making him now look more akin to Boss "Johnny Friendly" from the classic film On The Waterfront.

But the latest revelations that he sacked a prosecutor over his prosecuting political cronies of Christie might explain why he's going to be spending more on lawyers than A-Rod.

-- Enter Bennet Barlyn

Bennet Barlyn, the prosecutor who claims he was fired because he was prosecuting political cronies of Chris Christie for corruption, recently spoke out about the "mafia-esque" manner in which Christie officials (or Capos) fired him. After bridge-ghazi and all of the sordid news leaking out confirming Chris Christie's status as Bluto the Bully, the dedicated a prosecutor of 18 years in New Jersey’s Hunterdon County, revealed his firsthand account of being sacked by Christie's cronies.

''It's the same modus operandi,' he said Tuesday in an exclusive interview with MailOnline. ''It's the governor's office again using a state agency in an improper way for political purposes'. (DailyMail)

Baryln is currently suing the state of New Jersey for records that he claims will prove the case's dismissal was nothing but political retribution. Well, get a ticket and wait on line.

It seems he was able to get indictments against Deborah Trout, a county sheriff and Republican loyalist. Trout was accused of gross violations that included hiring staff without vetting them, supplying a Christie donor with a false law enforcement ID and forcing underlings to sign loyalty oaths. According to Barlyn, everything was fine and the case was running smoothly until the grand jury voted to indict Trout in 2010. After the charges went public, an indicted undersheriff, Michael Russo, allegedly told an aide that Christie will 'have this whole thing thrown out', according to The Hunterdon County Democrat. Soon thereafter, Dermot O'Grady, Chirstie's Deputy Attorney General and unflagging Christie loyalist, suddenly took over Barlyn's case. Barlyn explains how he was abruptly fired, shown the door, and escorted out by armed guards.

'It was mafia-esque,' Barlyn told MailOnline. 'I was given no due process, I was fired without explanation and other people were intimidated in the office to remain silent. 'I was called into the office and told to surrender my credentials, my phone and my badge to get into the building. I asked what was happening and they said I wasn't entitled to an explanation.'' (DailyMail)

The late great James Gandolfini may have sadly passed, but Tony Soprano appears to be very much alive.

Thank you Jesus
That was a great birthday gift and going away party seeing Gov Christie being exposed for the low life he is. I was a two time Republican Candidate for State Assembly for the 5th District when Gov Christie worked for US Attorney Generals Office. When Gov Christie came to Camden during his first Campaign I was on the ballot for Republican Committee and had great expectations after attending his Town Hall mettings at various churches in Camden. Gov. Christie knew George Norcross III was Organized Criminal and blasted the then New Jersey Attorney see no evil and hear no evil Peter Harvey for ruining the investigation. Christie wrote the FBI and federal prosecutors asked three times to join the probe between 2000 and 2005, but was rebuffed each time. Then finally he was handed the case after Rosenberg and Gural took their claims public in a lawsuit.U.S. Attorney Christie unleashed a blistering attack accusing state investigators of botching a five-year corruption probe into South Jersey political boss George Norcross III so thoroughly that it could not be salvaged. When Christie won the election and I won my election and was selected as the Camden County Republican Committee Camden Municipal Chairman, he never gave me one meeting on my ideas for Camden but every time Christie came to Camden he was standing side by side with George Norcross listening to the white mans vision for a colored community. Christie created the atmosphere of abuse and corruption in his office. Over my two year term I went to Trenton and to his Office 6 times and called a dozen more asking for a meeting with the Governor but was never allowed One Minute. My Committee was calling for Camden Police to walk patrols and safe school corriidors years before but George Norcross III wanted more suffering until the people were brought to their knees begging for change. Well I only bow down to Jesus and I thank Him for exposing Gov. Chris Christie for who he is and may God forbid him from ever being President in a Nation Under God.
Always from the heart
