Taco Bell introduced the widely popular Dorito shell taco. Wendy’s revamped their French fries long ago and McDonalds has its ever-popular Shamrock Shake. So now, in an attempt to keep up with its fast-food chain counterparts, Burger King has announced its new Bacon Sundae just in time for summer.
Beginning this Thursday, Burger King will try and lure new customers in with the release of several new pork, beef, and chicken sandwiches, and a salty-sweet bacon sundae to wash it down.
The 510-calorie sundae which started in Nashville, Tennessee earlier this year is comprised of vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles, and a piece of bacon, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Other options being added to the menu include the Memphis Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich, the Carolina BBQ Whopper or Chicken sandwich, the Texas BBQ Whopper or Chicken Sandwich, and finally sweet potato fries and frozen lemonade, according to Yahoo! news.
As always, Burger King focuses on their fire-grilled burgers, but now they are also trying to attach the new tag line “Taste is King," to replace the old slogan, “Have It Your Way.”
