Follow That Girl NYC is kicking off its fundraising season with Flavors Of The City; a charity food tasting event taking place on May 1, 2012 from 6 pm to 10 pm at the world famous Copacabana Rooftop 760, a favorite among style-conscious trendsetters, in the heart of Times Square.
We invite you to indulge in culinary delights from some of today’s most food-forward celebrity chefs, among them restaurateur, TV personality and author of “In a Cuban Kitchen,” Chef Alex Garcia; the winner of Bravo’s Rocco’s Dinner Party, Chef Joe ‘JJ’ Johnson; and Georgetown Cupcake divas, Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne of TLC’s DC Cupcakes. Top-notch desserts from standouts like Astor Bake Shop and Sugar Flower Cake Shop will also be featured.
In support of Socks 4 Tots and survivors of domestic abuse, the red carpet event will be hosted by Taylor Armstrong, star of Bravo's hit TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and New York Times bestselling author of “Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss and Finding the Courage Within.”
Sponsors for this amazing night include PNC Bank, Shinko Media, Vita Coco, Beach Bum, Copacabana, Liz Russell Aveda Salon, Izze Beverage Company, John Allan's, Zodiac Brand Management, Bice Restaurant, Linnea Johansson, Xanté, Hint Water, Sazon, Muzita Bistro, Completely Bare, Edixon Valdez, Whistlepig Whiskey, Rapid Realty, Kristiansand, and Emanuel Andren Gastronomy AB.
Sanford A. Rubenstein, one of New York's most sought-after advocates for victims' rights in personal injury and civil rights matters, will also be honored at the event for his work representing female victims of violence, women against women and men against women.
Tickets to Flavors Of The City have been reduced to $75 in advance, $100 at the door, and available at: http://www.followthatgirlnyc.com.
