As if May 21st Judgment Day, rogue planets and Roswell weren’t enough

Not to ruin anyone's day, but various sources are telling us that many residents of Earth will not be around for the full day on Saturday. Everyone has heard that Family Radio’s Harold Camping wants us to be aware that major earthquakes will begin at around 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Check your local listings for your particular time zone. Now the CDC says we should be on the lookout for an attack by a potentially overlooked threat: zombies or the zombie apocalypse.
The Center for Disease Control’s web site reminds us that zombies can be created in many ways, such as through infectious virus, radiation, and mutations of conditions like measles, rabies, and mad-cow disease.
"You may laugh now, but when it happens you'll be happy you read this, and maybe you'll learn about how to prepare for a real emergency," Assistant Surgeon General Dr. Ali S. Khan wrote, according to CBS News.
Khan recommends keeping an emergency kit in the house to get you through the early stages of the attack. Your kit may have already been in place as a precautionary measure against disasters less dangerous than zombies: like floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

According to nj.com, the Center for Disease Control mentions that the prevalence of zombies in today’s pop culture should not take away from the fact that a zombie apocalypse could happen at any given moment. The CDC recommends the following essentials to survive: food and water, medications, tools, first aid, clothing, and supplies.
If an invasion by the walking dead isn’t enough, according to philly.com, scientists have reported in the journal Nature that for every star, there could be two extra planets swinging among the stars. Astronomer Phil Plait says if rogue planets are as common as stars, there's one closer to Earth than Alpha Centauri, the closest star next to the sun.
So could a rogue unleash a rage of deadly comets? Plait warns us that the potential of a head-on crash could obliterate the Earth, but says the odds against it are astronomical.
People have heard the stories of aliens landing in Roswell in 1947. A new story says the Soviet Union sent a spacecraft flown by surgically-changed small Soviets to cause mass panic. In an appearance on the Daily Show this week, Annie Jacobson told New Jersey native Jon Stewart that Stalin took away a lot of the scientists from the Third Reich after the ship was created.
Make your plans accordingly on Saturday. Have a nice day.
