I surely hope it's a Quad Core! Darwin v11 iOS 5.1 and newer Apps will take advantage of 4 cores eventually. That would be better overall, eventually. But if it's only Dual Core, then it better be 2 GHz, then it would be just as fast maxed out, with only needing Apps to be designed for 2 threads. In theory this would be snappier for most things for now, but it would be hotter over all, and less efficient! But the comment on spending $800 on an Asus? That's just dumb (running less supported Linux, or worse Windows in flimsy plastic?), spend just another $199 for a real laptop, an actual MacBook Air! (it's got an HD display at least, 1366x768 that HDTVs use still, and solid rigid block of anodized aluminum!)
