I see the reasons for divorce and/or separation, especially amongst the Hollywood crowd, "Unreconcilable Differences" and I think, what a bunch of crap. "Follow your heart" is another popular motive, which has led to many divorces. The way I see it is that following your heart usually means chasing after whatever feels right at the moment whether or not it actually is right. It means throwing caution and conscience to the wind and pursuing your latest whims and desires regardless of what good logic is saying. This selfish philosophy is also the source of many divorces as it leads many to excuse themselves from their lifelong marriage commitments to their spouses because they no longer ”feel in love” or believe that positive change is impossible. Points back to the vows most of us took, “For better or worse to death do us part”. For most marriages I’d have to say it’s really all about “for better”.
