Midwife comparison is absurd

The comparison regarding the nurse midwife is ridiculous. If there is a complication during the delivery, a physician (OB-GYN) knows how to effectively treat and manage the complication because of their medical education and training. Let that baby be in a breech presentation or have life-threatening decelerations. I would like to see that same midwife pick up the scapel and perform an emergency C-section in the operating room. They cannot do it.

It seems that you already know the location of the mop and bucket, Dr. Van Nostrand or Tendervittles Jr. or whatever you are calling yourself on this forum. You just hold down that post for me until I get there. I'm pretty sure you are doing a fantastic job in my absence.

No ego Trane, just common sense. And I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night....

You spew factoids about the requirements.....book smart....like you haven't been out of the house since high school. Good for you, you're a learner.....but you lack both critical thinking, common sense and the ability to see sarcasm....no anesthesiologist would be put in that situation..to perform a "C".

Sorry about the surgeon remark....after reviewing your other posts,this is what you need to do..., at the end of the hall, 4th floor of every hospital there is a mop and bucket. Good luck, proper sanitation is counting on you.

An anesthesiologist would know that performing an emergency C-section is beyond their scope of practice and their fund of medical knowledge and training. Any anesthesiologist who would attempt this deserves the negligence and liability that comes along with it.

And who has the ego "Dr. Van Nostrand"?
