This is absolutely a tragic event and I give my condolences to the family. However, WHY was this kid anywhere near the train? My friend is a conductor for NYS&W; and the things he has told me keep me observant around the tracks, yet people still think they can "beat the train" and "slip under the crossings". No... you can't. When a train is around, you need to wait, or you're probably going to die.
