Astabile_optAnthony has been involved in horse racing his entire life. He's worked as a hot-walker, groom and jockey agent and has covered the national horse-racing scene for over ten years. In five years at the New York Post, Anthony authored "Through the Binocs" a daily recap of the day's action and was known for his candor and pull-no-punches approach to writing. He also selected Funny Cide to win the 2003 Kentucky Derby and served as the gelding's ghostwriter in the weeks leading up to the Belmont Stakes. Anthony contributes to the top magazine in the Thoroughbred game, "The BloodHorse," co-hosted "Thoroughbred Central" for New York City OTB and conducts seminars for NYC OTB, at the famed Gallagher's Steakhouse as well as at the Mohegan Sun Casino and various other gambling hotspots in the Northeast during the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup seasons. Currently, he serves as a web columnist for NYC OTB and is a handicapper and contributor to, a position he has held since 2006.
