Beleaguered and storm-weary (both political and natural ones) Governor Christie appeared on SNL’s “Weekend Update” and offered up some Jersey guy humor. Who needs a wannabe Chris Farley (the only cast member to ever play bumbling fat guys the best) when you can get the real fat guy himself? Christie is becoming something of foreign experiment these days for the Republican Party. First he shows leadership and works with the Kenyan Socialist, now he’s showing that there’s more humor to Republicans than their policies and the crazy crap that they say.

The Garrulous and Gargantuan Governor of the Garden State had great comic timing as he riffed with Weekend Update host Seth Meyers, particularly when it came to that worn down fleece of his that he apparently cannot appear on television without.

I’m by no means a Christie fan, as my previous articles have indicated, but I simply cannot overlook Christie’s recent changes for good. We’ll surely go back to being enemies soon, but as someone with a comedy background, I have to doff my fleece cap to Christie in the meantime.
