Dan is an experienced baseball writer who worked for The Star-Ledger for nine years, from 2000-08. He was the paper's Yankees beat writer from 2000-04 and National Baseball Writer from 2005-08, and he served as Chairman of the New York Chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America in 2007 and 2008. He also covered the 2004 Athens Olympics for The Star-Ledger. From 1995-99, Dan worked at The Palm Beach Post, covering a variety of sports at first before serving as the Florida Marlins beat writer from 1997-99. He is a 1994 graduate of Georgetown University and the author of two published novels. He lives in Ridgewood, NJ with his wife and two sons.
