The Mega Millions drawing, going off at $173 million on Friday, is not the only lottery prize headed into the stratosphere. After no one hit the jackpot on Saturday, the Powerball grand prize has climbed to $104 million for tonight's drawing on Dec. 21.

Delawareonline.com reports that for the Dec. 17 drawing, eight tickets that matched five numbers without getting the Powerball, none of them being from New Jersey. One of the tickets had the Power Play option, earning $1 million.

The winning numbers from the Dec. 17 drawing were as follows:

13-28-49-51-59  Powerball: 33

None of the luckier players have come from New Jersey in recent drawings, so we may be due. A record of the New Jersey Lottery’s biggest prize winners between 1988 and 2008 lists the winners by zip codes.

According to njgeo.org, zip code 07002 saw 222 winners during that 20-year period, and zip code 07070 won $180,832,210.10. The list includes a location quotient value that highlights areas where the number of winners in each ZIP code is higher than the state average.

The biggest Powerball jackpot of this year was the $254.2 million drawing held Nov. 2, and three money managers from Greenwich, Conn. claimed their prize November 28.

The Fiscal Times reports that Tim Davidson, Brandon Lacoff and Greg Skidmore are employed by boutique investment advisory firm Belpointe Management, which handles $82 million in assets – less than the near $104 million the men will receive from their lump sum payout.
