When he's not busy as the Director of New Media for a PBS news magazine, Joel is an award-winning essayist and author of "The 40-Year-Old Version: Humoirs of a Divorced Dad" (www.divorceddadbook.com). His essays have appeared in Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine, New Jersey Monthly, The New York Daily News, Chicken Soup for the Soul, The New York Post, The Star Ledger, The Huffington Post, and numerous regional magazines throughout the U.S. and Canada. Joel writes exclusively during his New Jersey Transit commute, unless he can't find a seat, in which case he reads romance novels over peoples' shoulders.
