A life long New Jersey resident, John began his career in print journalism at the News-Record of South Orange and Maplewood. He then joined the New York Times where he covered everything in the Garden State from politics and the environment to crime and dining. Holl left the Times in 2007 and spent a year working in the Hunterdon County bureau of the Star-Ledger where he wrote a variety of stories on the agriculture industry and all things Jersey. Throughout his career in journalism his work has appeared in publications like New jersey Life Magazine, Cosmopolitan, The Indianapolis Star, Forbes Auto and others. A graduate of Seton Hall University, Holl lives in Jersey City and will contribute articles on craft beer, spirits and the culture of drinking.
