Judy has been writing for newspapers and magazines for decades, either staff or freelance, for such publications as The New York Times, The Star-Ledger, EnergyTimes, Positive Change, Natural Awakenings, Sarasota Arts & Culture Magazine and NY Press. She began specializing in writing about healthful recipes in 2001, when she founded RawFoodsNewsMagazine.com. Judy's the author of The Little e-Book of Raw Holiday Recipes. A N.J. native, she covered the Mendhams, the Chesters and education as a Daily Record reporter, and garnered N.Y. Press Women's first place award for the best series of articles written in the state. Her first official writing job was at the Trenton Times. As a (raw) vegan, she thinks it's fitting that the vegetable "okra" is in the middle of her last name.
