At least 11 people were killed and more than 40 others injured in a deadly stampede at the final concert of the week-long annual Mawazine music festival in Morocco on Saturday night, according to a Reuters report. Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder were among those featured at the festival, but they were not performing when the stampede occurred.

Thousands of people rushed to leave the Abdelaziz Stati concert at the Hay Nahda soccer stadium in Rabat, the country's capital. The surging crowd apparently caused a fence to collapse, killing five women, two teenagers and four men, according to the report. Forty people were injured, eight of them seriously.

Morocco's Interior Ministry said an investigation is underway to determine "the exact causes and circumstances" of the stampede.
