Anne Hathaway grew up in Millburn, New Jersey and used to spend her summers around Cape May. The parents of the "Dark Knight Rises" actress would like to see her get married there.
Representatives for Hathaway confirmed after Thanksgiving that she was engaged. MTV reported that Hathaway began dating actor Adam Shulman after she split with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri in 2008. Follieri was found guilty of defrauding investors of millions by posing as a real-estate consultant for the Vatican. Hathaway had gone to Cape May for privacy after the highly publicized split.
The New York Daily News reports that sources are saying Hathaway’s family would “really love” her to get married in Cape May. Hathaway’s representatives say the couple has not yet decided on a location for their wedding.
Rumors had begun that Hathaway and Schulman were planning to get married in October 2012, but Hathaway’s representatives told E! News that they had not set a date yet.
Hathaway has expressed a fondness for Cape May and New Jersey in the past. She points out that the Jersey shore is nothing like the MTV series.

She told Film-News.co.uk, “I think that the Jersey Shore is awesome. “When I first saw the show, I thought, Wow, they are having a very different experience there than my experience in Cape May. I thought the first season was authentic, but I don’t watch it any more because now they know there’s a camera there.”
