Paula Abdul is the latest to be eliminated from “The X Factor.”
The reality show has been shaking up its judging line-up in recent days, according to The Chicago Sun-Times.
Hollywood insiders say Abdul is furious over getting dumped, despite her releasing a statement saying she understood “how business decisions oftentimes override personal considerations.”
The "X Factor" host Steve Jones and judge Nicole Scherzinger were also let go by the show’s producers and network bigs, whose research analysis reported that Abdul was too “soft” compared to the other judges and that Scherzinger was not well-liked by audiences.
Some X Factor staff told reporters that the show’s creator Simon Cowell has claimed that he and Abdul would remain friends and would someday work together again, but that seemed unlikely at this point considering the parting “was anything but amicable.”
Cowell and Abdul worked together on “American Idol,” which Cowell also created.
"The X Factor" just concluded its debut season in the United States, with Melanie Amaro being named the winner.
