Marine veteran of Iraq confronts N.Y. police over beatings of Occupy Wall Street demonstrators (VIDEO)

This dramatic video posted on YouTube shows former Marine Sgt. Shamar Thomas of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. confronting police in Times Square Saturday night over earlier beatings of Occupy Wall Street demonstrators.

Wearing three rows of service ribbons on his Marine camouflage jacket, Thomas says he took part in 50 combat missions during 14 months in Iraq and tells officers that if they want to hurt someone, go to Afghanistan or Iraq.
