Pim has spent 25 years in the news industry as a photographer, photo manager and online news editor. In 2000 he designed and built a photo department at The Star-Ledger in Newark, NJ, which then went on to win the Pulitzer Prize and many other national and international awards. He began his newspaper career as a photojournalist covering local, regional and international news events. In 2005 he created a video and multimedia operation to complement the newspaper's online operations. He subsequently ran The Star-Ledger's news website as the assistant managing editor for digital news. He is the 1989 New Jersey Press Photographer of the year and has won numerous national and international photography and editing awards.
