It is that time of the year again. The most exciting, anxious and nerve-wracking hour you'll spend all year. It's time to fill out those brackets again. 65 teams, 63 games, all leading to one moment of glory for you. Now it's time to see what you've got. Come test out your picking chops up against other readers of NewJerseyNewsroom.com and some of our writers, including sports writer Mike Vorkunov. If anyone ends up upsetting our basketball experts, we'll embarrass the winner to the world with an announcement identifying their bracketology skills.
What are you going to do with the Midwest region? No. 1 seed Kansas sure got a tough break with the group that it's in. Can they make it out of the NCAA's Group of Death? Or will it be the frontrunner for player of the year Evan Turner and No. 2 Ohio State? The red-hot Hoyas?
Despite a less than stellar end to their year, Syracuse still receives the top seed in the West bracket. But Kansas State is waiting at the bottom as a dangerous foe. With the second weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, can BYU make it far enough to have the home-court advantage as a seven-seed?How about them Mountaineers? WVU wins the toughest conference tournament in the country and is rewarded by being the No. 2 seed in Kentucky's group. Will they get a chance to meet the precocious wildcats, led by three freshmen, or will another team get in the way for either team? Like everybody's favorite Ivy League Cinderellas, Cornell?
Duke received the final top seed, taking it away from four other teams in the mix. Now can they show they have earned it. Villanova waits as the two-seed, but can they even make it to the second weekend with all the problems they have been having lately. What about plucky Sienna, mid-major turned major pain in the butt for the big boys the last two tournaments?
