The iPad 3 rumors are continuing to fly as a reported March launch date draws closer. The latest stories say the tablet may contain a processor that would vastly increase its speed levels.
BGR sources say that photos of an iPad 3 prototype show that it will become available in two different versions: one that has Wi-Fi and another edition that has Wi-Fi and a chip that supports GSM, CDMA, and 4GLTE. And the A6 processor will be a quad-core model, which would make iPad 3 the fastest iOS device ever.
Also, the Washington Post reported that Amazon’s European site has iPad 3 for Dummies in French and German, scheduled for release on March 29, indicating that a launch may be in the immediate future. Recent reports said the prototype of the iPad 3 was at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show, and it may only be an iPad HD, with minimal improvements from iPad 2.
According to the International Business Times, the iPad 3 is expected to feature a bigger battery, allowing it to support LTE and giving it longer battery life. And the rumored higher display resolution screen of 2048x1536 would be four times the pixels in iPad 2. Other rumors included the addition of at least a 5 megapixel camera, and perhaps voice-messenger Siri.
