An advancing warm front associated with an area of low pressure over the Upper Mid West will produce increasing clouds this morning and scattered showers throughout the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas late this morning on through this evening.

Showers will become widespread this afternoon and evening with temperatures rising into the lower to mid 60's over the interior and mid to upper 60's along the coast and in urban locations. Winds will back to the southwest around 5 to 15 mph.

An area of low pressure over the Upper Mid West will move through the Philadelphia metropolitan areas tonight through tomorrow morning and exit to the south of Long Island tomorrow afternoon. This low pressure system will produce periods of moderate to heavy rain throughout the northern Mid Atlantic tomorrow. For elevations above 1,000 feet, there will be a threat for snow to mix in with the rain, however accumulations will be limited to grassy surfaces if any tomorrow afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be much cooler with high temperatures in the upper 50's to lower 60's.

The low pressure system will exit tomorrow night with clearing skies followed by high pressure in place for Friday. Scattered cloud cover can be expected on Friday with temperatures averaging below normal for this time of year. Temperatures will range from the upper 30's to upper 40's for lows and upper 40's to upper 50's for highs.

Another area of low pressure will bring another round of moderate to heavy rain to the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas for Saturday. The low pressure system will track over the New Jersey coastal waters toward southern New England. This low pressure system will also produce windy conditions from the north and northeast as the low pressure system moves over the New Jersey coast waters. Also, there will be a threat for some snow to mix with the rain for elevations above 1,000 feet. Temperatures will remain below normal with lows in the mid 30's to lower 40's and highs in the upper 40's to upper 50's.

High pressure will build into the region for Sunday through Tuesday with dry yet cool weather conditions. Scattered cloud cover and breezy conditions can be expected on Sunday followed by more tranquil weather conditions for Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will be below normal with lows in the mid 30's to lower 40's and highs in the upper 40's to upper 50's.
