The Beatles sang about a revolution and wanting to change the world, but a group of New Jersey residents are starting to take action.
Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment, a national organization seeking to remove President Barack Obama from the White House, is holding several events in the Garden State; including rallies at Route 80's Exit 34 in Morris County, and an I-195 overpass at the Garden State Parkway. Other protests are slated for Route 295 just south of Trenton, Route 42 in Camden County, and the Garden State Parkway in Bloomfield.
But why in the traditionally blue Garden State is there a movement to impeach Obama?
“I'm just sick of what's going on in Washington. I'm a concerned citizen. I want to speak out," Newton resident Cynthia Corulla, who is organizing the Morris County event, said.
- Benghazi – The president’s handling of the incident has been less than stellar. Corulla, for one, wants the truth about why four Americans died that day.
- Obamacare – Overall, the organization wants Obama impeached for aggressively pushing healthcare reform they see as clearly unconstitutional.
- IRS – The Garden State is one of the most overtaxed states in the nation; some blame Trenton but it begins in Washington, D.C.
- NSA – If you read Brad Thor’s “Black List” this is self-explanatory and frightening to the core. If you haven’t, do it.
- Superstorm Sandy – Yes, President Obama came in the immediate aftermath of the storm and again before the summer began. But honestly all the BS with FEMA and flood insurance, a government-driven necessity for homeowners carrying a mortgage; well need more really be said.
These latest events are by no means the first in the Garden State; earlier this summer Impeach Obama signs popped up at the WaWa on Brick Boulevard in Brick.
