A Coast Guard helicopter from Air Station Atlantic City medevaced a 21-year-old man off a 100-foot fishing vessel approximately 70 miles east of the resort city at 7:30 a.m., Monday, the service announced.
The crew from the fishing vessel Friendship called watchstanders at the Air Station at approximately 6 a.m. and said the crewmember was experiencing severe abdominal pains and in need of assistance.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew arrived over the vessel and hoisted the man into the copter. The man, who was not immediately identified, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona.
