Bill adds new restrictions on New Jersey gun sales

Selling more than one gun to an individual in a 30-day period would be illegal under a new law passed by the New Jersey Legislature.

Organizations representing gun collectors and hunters immediately protested, leading Gov. Jon Corzine to create a nine-member task force to study the impact of the law.

Critics contend it punishes law-abiding gun owners without having any impact on illegal gun sales.

The supporters claim the new rule would keep guns from flowing into New Jersey from other states and stem illegal trafficking in weapons.

If signed by the governor, the bill would make knowingly selling more than one gun in 30 days a fourth-degree felony with a $10,000 fine.

This gun rationing scheme is just another scam that will punish law-abiding citizens, and do nothing to fight crime or gang violence. NJ already has some of the toughest gun control laws in place, which include obtaining a seperate permit for every single handgun an individual wishes to buy. The bill gets even stupider by exempting cops. If you think there are no crooked cops out there, you had best think again! This whole thing is just another scam that will further empower the black market!
