In his role as a darling of the high-riding national Republican Party, Gov. Chris Christie will appear on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday to discuss what's next for the GOP as it takes control of Congress and prepares fore the 2012 presidential election.

Christie and U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) will appear with host David Gregory.

Gregory describes the program as a special post-election interview with Christie "the most sought after Republican campaigner for candidates and someone a lot of people think might be a candidate for president in 2012." He describes DeMint as the Tea Party's most vocal backer in the Senate.

The interview is expected to touch on the outlook for Republicans in the presidential race, can they work with President Obama and can they and the Tea Party work together.

"Meet the Press" will be broadcast in the New York market at 8:00 a.m. prior to the New York Marathon. The program will be on at 10 a.m. in the Atlantic City market, and at 10:30 a.m. in the Philadelphia market.

Governor Christie,
In recent special elections for the New Jersey Assembly and Senate, the republican candidates all went down to defeat. Don't you see this as some measure of dissatisfation with your policies, especially in regards to your outspoken criticism of the state's education system.
