Marlton, N.J. — What can you say about an organization whose mission is to provide a politically inspired platform for those who choose to escape the wasteland of predictable, boring and rude American politics?

The brainchild of five successful New Jersey and Pennsylvania entrepreneurs, the Ostrich Party provides a voice of reason in a political echo chamber of sound bites and posturing from the status quo.

“Everyone is fed up with American politics that contains nothing more than oversize egos, exclusionary philosophy and extreme views expressed in sound bites,” says Mongeluzo, the president of Marlton, N.J-based Pro Computer Service, and a party founder. “There has to be a platform that offers civil, reasoned debate, without the screeching and keening of the left and the right.”

Mongeluzo and his partners launched The Ostrich Party because he felt there had to be a middle ground of discourse where substance and civility is the lingua franca of discussion. (While Mongeluzo never studied Italian in school, he admits always wanting to use lingua franca in an interview.)

Members of The Ostrich Party offer a platform to show this dissatisfaction, he says. However, Mongeluzo emphasizes that he is not running against President Obama. “I will not run for president of the United States even if The Ostrich Party drafts me,” he says.

The party draws attention to its platform through its website, where followers can order shirts, lapel pins and window clings with their logo and mantra, “Boycott the Political Status Quo.”

The Ostrich Party does not consider themselves politicians, but rather, an organization of business owners and leaders, professionals, tradespeople, students, and homemakers.

“While we might bury our head in the sand when the two major political parties start their daily newscast rants, The Ostrich Party is actually thinking about what’s good for America, and we don’t see it expressed or implemented by either Democrats or Republicans,” says Mongeluzo, a FOX-TV information technology expert and the winner of numerous entrepreneurial awards.

“Get a life and get into politics by joining The Ostrich Party," he adds.
