Susan is the former Lifestyle editor of The Star-Ledger. She is a lifelong New Jersey resident (except for two years in Maryland). She is now a freelance writer specializing in food, home, health and general feature topics. She was part of the features department team which won the Missouri Lifestyle Journalism Award for General Excellence in 2000 and was a second place Missouri winner in 2001 for the Home & Garden section. Her journalism career started at The Daily Advance in Dover, NJ and progressed to Women's Wear Daily in Manhattan where she spent 10 years covering the news of fashion. She was a restaurant critic at W magazine and The Star-Ledger. She won several awards from the New Jersey Press Association.
