While Evan is technically correct in that George Yardley played for nothing for the Jets in the ABL, that wasn't his intention: the paychecks bounced! The team folded early in the season, allowing Bill Sharman to go work for George Steinbrenner in Cleveland and get the fifth of his 16 championship rings.
