Not this deal.

I don't disagree with the premise that new home sales have a positive economic impact. What I'm saying is that this $100 million taxpayer program can't possibly do anything to boost the market beyond what it would normally be doing over the next few months anyway. Or to put it another way, the number of homes sold over the next year will almost certainly be the same with or without the homebuyer tax credit.

Why would you say that? In the real world buyers i'm talking to are saying they are waiting for Christie to sign the bill. If he doesn't sign they will stay where they are. This bill will get the market moving...fast. To be against this bill is ludicrous and irresponsible.
