(1) No one disagrees we should make criminals out of sick people. But Reeds' emotional apply is both misplaced and a misrepresentation. Oh the humanity! Congress has vested and the Court has approved the President's authority to adjust or reschedule the drug. People who encourage desperate people to break the law with illusions of a medical show's miracle cures seem to be the criminals. Conversely, the President must either think marijuana is useless as a medicine or else he wants to make criminals out of sick people. Maybe he's too busy sending Americans to die protecting, and apparently taxing, poppy fields. (2) Of course being stoned relieves pain - ya can't feel or think when you're stoned. Try not to forget that (ooops). Reed won't tell us the NJ Medical Association refuses to certify its benefits and risks - maybe the evidence is too iffy. Nor will Reed tell you withdrawing the demand they certify benefits and risks was, according to the AMA, the price of their support! (3) As to crime - Obviously, Reed hasn't been in Ca. Wash., of Colorado. Guess Reed want's NJ to be the 14th narco-state.
P.S. Hey Hestor, are you still writing Joe Robert's press releases?
