So sorry I missed the reunion. I would have enjoyed seeing people again. I left the Daily Record to move on to an ad agency in Bergen County where I was employed until July 2009. I am now a statistic as the agency needed to downsize to save itself when the auto industry tanked & ad budgets were cut. I've been applying for 3-6 jobs/week ever since, having more than 200 resumes out in the world!! I've applied to online ads, newspaper ads, sent out unsolicited resumes, I tell everyone that I meet that I'm unemployed & looking. I even ask the people who call to solicit money if they are hiring!! It's scary out there. Warren, I loved the last bit of advice about telling the interviewer "If you offer me this job, I'll take it.". I will use it when I next land an interview. I've only had 3, even with all those resumes out there. Something has to give soon. I appreciate your thoughts. Keep up the good work.
