So I went to motor vehicle to get these stickers for my young driver, they were un clear on any regulations regarding the stickers. If the provisional driver is driving without the sticker and gets caught by the police there's a fine, how much seems to be from $100. to $200. Now the "only in NJ part". If the parent or non provisional driver is driving the car with the sticker on it and gets pulled over by the police, there seems to be some confusion whether there is a fine for that driver. So here's the question NJ MVC, what are the rules. It's bad enough that NJ has legalized profiling and seems to substitute parental responsibility for stickers, and parents already worry about their young drivers, now we have to worry about the profiling of young teens. Let wait a see, when someone gets hurt or even worst because we put a label on them they will realize this was a bad idea. Why don’t we start labeling everyone, senior drivers over the age of 70, blue sticker, people with major traffic violations, yellow sticker, maybe even have special parking spaces at the mall so they are easier to find, you see how ridiculous this really is. Wake Up NJ! And to the Judge that OKay'd this, just because it doesn't violate any constitutioal laws, doesn't mean it make any sense. But I guess you just have to understand the law and not common sense.
