During Thursday's telecast of the Daily Show, Jon Stewart said it best when he brilliantly lampooned all the professional sycophants and democratic party strategists’ far and wide preposterous explanations to justify President Obama’s abysmal debate performance in a segment titled “polishing a turd.” Indeed, Obama appeared to be drinking liquefied lunesta whereas Romney appeared to substitute the gaffeine and finally try actual caffeine.
One of the more bizarre explanations came from Al Gore. During Current TV’s post-debate analysis, former Vice President Al Gore struggled to explain why GOP nominee Mitt Romney appeared more comfortable and better prepared than did President BarackObama.
“I’m going to say something controversial here,” Gore began, according to the Huffington Post, “Obama arrived in Denver at 2 p.m. today — just a few hours before the debate started. Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet, and you only have a few hours to adjust — I don’t know…”
Okay, I think many are just as upset with Obama’s comatose performance. And while it’s hard to fathom Romney doing anything right and not saying something foolish with the cameras rolling, it’s safe to assume that Gore is reaching for explanations like the Romney Campaign reaches for facts. And, in doing so, he’s polishing a turd. Furthermore, I don’t recall ever forgetting my health care proposal during that snowboarding excursion in Denver.
But just suppose the ponderous prognosticator of climatological peril is onto something here and Obama wasn’t on his A-game due to the unforgiving high altitudes of Denver. Well, maybe not considering that Jon Stewart also ran a clip of then candidate Obama’s sonorous and impassioned 2008 presidential nomination acceptance speech at mile high stadium in Denver, one in which Obama was outdoors in the high altitude and yet he seemed quite fine.
In sum, Obama just failed to show up. So can we please just conclude that Obama wasn’t exactly walking on sunshine last week and move on to pre-analyzing the reasons why Obama will have a weak second debate performance on account of the altitude being too low in Hempstead, NY.

Just because Obama says something, doesn't make it fact.
Obama fanboys and fangirls are so stupid.
In fact, I am sure Romney will only ever be one of those things.
Also, what was he supposed to prepare for?
Obama was not ready for Romney's positions, since they all changed overnight.
